LoanClear is a fintech platform designed for students — empowering users to take control of their student loans through smart tracking, timely reminders, and motivational tools. Problem
Exploration & Discovery
Through research with over 100 college students/graduates, we discovered that most struggled to:
Track multiple loans across platforms
Stay consistent with monthly payments
Feel motivated during long payoff periods
Building on these findings, we created three user personas to guide our design decisions and ensure the solution addressed real student needs.

The Motivation Hub keeps users emotionally engaged through daily quotes, achievements, and milestone progress, turning loan repayment into a rewarding and empowering journey.

The Loan Calculator enables students to visualize how small changes impact their payoff timeline, offering smart tips and interactive charts to make repayment decisions clear and actionable.

Users reported feeling less stressed and more confident in their repayment plans. They also found the app’s motivational features and progress visuals helped them stay consistent and build healthier financial habits.
